WOW...been too long!

HEY people. i knooooooowwww its being forever since ive done a post. been busy with uni since ive been back from Malaysia.

My trip overseas was amazing! So i went to Malaysia for 3 weeks and Singapore for 4 days in the middle of my time in Malaysia. Loved every minute of it. Here are some photos amnd some of my experiences.

BUt im warning you that i didnt edit any of these. I've updated my PC to an iMac, which means change/upgraded of software which im still trying to work out. lol

anyways, hope you enjoy the photos.

The below photos were taken in Singapore. Went there for only 4 days so these photos are very brief.

These were taken after we got back to Malaysia from Singapore.

Ps. Just so you guys know, i'll be out of blogging action for some time (dont know exactly for how long). Need time to get some new material for the blog, but also using it as an opportunity to focus on other things. Hope to get some material from Malaysia when i head over then in 2 and a half weeks to see my amazing lady. We'll come back together so thats the happy ending of that story. lol

I'm currently doing some editing photos from a photoshoot i did for my brother who's working on his own project...so it might happen that i may post something (from that) before i fly out. See what happens...Keep watching this space ;)

Cant wait to get to Malaysia. I keep saying, i know! But im really keen on looking at some prices for new camera lenses. Not saying that im going to actually buy anything, merely sussing out the options. If anything really good does come up with a really good price tag, i may just make a move.

Mean while...while i dont have the camera ive have used through out the year, my little hand held Canon has been doing the job. Sounds very lame, i know. But its quite surprising to see what it comes up with. They bring out their own feel, and the quality in the photos are still there, but i guess the depth of the photo does disappear. But that being said, i CANNOT wait to get my hand on the normal (Amanda's) camera when i get to KL.

Ive had to use my little camera for the past (nearly) month now so im quite use to it. Switching back to the "real deal" is going to be interesting, amussing and quite the challenge to see how i adjust to better equipment again.

Moving on...these are more things ive been able to come up with. Once i get to KL, ill be doing a few scenary shots, but i think i will be more concentrating on modelling shots ill be doing with Amanda and her friend Nina. Looking forward to it as its been quite some time since ive actually done a modelling photoshoot... but never the less challenging to come up with something that's different yet effective and outstanding in its quality, yet at the same time trying to keep it simple when necessary. Fun times! lol

And finally...i call these the.....

M.M.Melbourne!

Well at the beginning of December i had to pleasure of making a 3 day trip to Melbourne with my best friends, which would include my amazing Mandy.

I did a bit of shooting, but i generally spent my time sight seeing and not taking as many shots as i would like to...so my bad.

When i head to KL and (hopefully) Singapore in the new year, i really want to get some great shots! I do regret not taking many shots when i was in Melbourne!

So Moving on....the Architecture going on in Melbourne is simply amazing! I have one photo which shows how colourful their thinking is when designing something new there.

The rest of the photos are just general things. Thought id share them with you.

This Building (the one im talking about with the outstanding design) isnt even completed and looks amazing!

This is the view had courtesy Amanda's friend who allowed us to stay there for one of the nights. WHAT A VIEW!!!

And the below is the same view at night. I know its blurry, but i think it gives you an idea of the city lights when your right in the centre of it all.

Oh my goodness! It was amazing too see the amount of trams going around Melbourne...left right and centre. It was crazy but very impressive. You miss one tram...no joke, literally a couple of minutes later, another one which would be heading to the same destination would arrive. Impressive isnt it?...well i guess us Adelaidians get impressed by smallest of things.

Once again...there is some pretty sweet design going on here at the Melbourne Train Station! It looks more impressive when you see it in person. The photo again cannot justify how it looks like when your actually there.

So...This is the Eureka Tower (below). May not Look Big (But trust me it is...) but it does give some very amazing views of the city and outter skirts of the Central Melbourne.

The below photo was taken at the Eureka Skydeck! Oh My Gosh...the view (in person may i say) was astonishing! i was GOBSMACKED at how high we actually were. The Photo does not fully justify the amazing feeling you get while being some 88 stories high.

The photo above is me standing at the same spot where the last photo was taken. If it looks like im peacking it...then yes...u are very correct! i dont think ive been so scared in my entire life. I know it sounds sad of me to say so, but im sure you'd agree if you faced the same thing...where you can feel the building move because of its hight!...and then trying to stand right next to a window.
If that was scary...we had the opportunity to go on....The EDGE! Check this LINK OUT! It was AMAZING and scary at the same time! WOOOOOW
I didnt get any photos from my camera of The EDGE because we werent allowed to, so the link gives u great idea of what im talking about.

And this was the pretty view we got on the way back to Adelaide.

All in all... the trip was great. Met many people... ate lots of food and did a bit of shopping! Wasnt much, if at all cheaper in Melbourne hence why i say "a bit of shopping".

Christmas is just around the corner! Amazing how fast this year has gone. I guess its a typical thing to say each year....

...From a mediocre first half of the year at uni in 2009, to a successful second semester...
...From Adelaide to Slovakia to see the rest of the family through the uni mid year break...

...From Adelaide to Melbourne for a 3 day trip with my closest friends at the beginning of December...

...From being single at the beginning of year and then taken by an amazing person!...

ALOT has happened this year...and im sure alot will happen next year. Each year never fails to provide incredible stressors and excitement!...lets just hope majority of it is excitement next year! :P

My lady left for Malaysia a couple days ago. i will meet up with her at KL in 51 days time...So...i guess one thing to look forward to for 2010...is me heading to Malaysia. Too many days for my liking though..but its something that must be done.

Im looking forward to going there because i'll have to chance to do some photography in KL and possibly Singapore if all goes to plan. Also looking forward to the amazing food they have!...and meeting the family! :)

Im loving the first photo! Such a strong and pure white! The brown table underneath it adds a great contrast. I was quite impressed with my own work which doesnt happen too often. lol.

So im on university holidays, this should mean that i feeling relaxed, but im stressing out because now im playing for a carols service end of next week. Quite stressful especially when it isnt your kind of music. lol awell its a good growth experience.

Oh oh...and im going to Malaysia through February to meet the rest of Amanda's family & friends and do A LOT of sightseeing! Cannot wait!...oh and i guess shopping as well as its a lot cheaper there.

I went to Melbourne for the first time. It was amazing! Loving the architecture going on there!

But on another note...Mandy suggested i take a close up photo of the rings and the bouncy ball as it is seen in the photo. I had it sitting there like that for some time, so atleast it had good use for a photo. This is what it turned out like. I really enjoy close up photos, so hopefully i'll have a few more in the future. (Good one Mandy ;))

I've decided to take a break from the European photos. They will be back soon, but i thought id put up some other stuff mean while.

Mandy and i decided to take the bus to my place after uni...but whats the typical thing that happens? We caught the wrong bus and took us an hour and a half to get to my place when it should have taken us around 40-50minutes....crazy. So...finally everyone had eventually gotten off and we were the only ones left so Mandy thought we could use that as a great opportunity for photos.

So thats the story behind these photos. i bet the driver thought we were weird, but awell...lol

Hey so here are a few more shots from Kosice, Slovakia. Brilliant city for photos. the photo below is an old but amazing theatre. The inside (i've heard) is really nice with royal red carpets and golden walls and seat frames. But i've sadly never been inside.

Hey peeps. These photos were taken months back this year. Im very proud of them because they turned out quite well.

But im so proud of this one below because Amanda actually won an online magazine award and this photo was featured as the winning photo out of all the entries for that comp. Im proud of her and myself that the photo was good enough for that. So yay! Hope i can keep pulling quality ones out like this one.

Well...what else is there to say...? Im on my final days of the mid semester break from uni. Ive had so much work to do and ended up working on assignment nearly every day. The days i didnt work i spent with Amanda. Had a great opportunity to go to Christies Beach down south of Adelaide. Such an amazing place. Really awesome. Amanda found a few op shops and bought a few really nice things. So keep an eye out on Not So Naked blog as she may share some of the new things she bought ;)

It was my mums birthday yesterday. she turned....actually i wont say so that mum doesnt feel offended by it, but lets say that she looks alot younger than what her real age is!

On top of that, it was Mandy's mum's birthday yesterday too. so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to both of them!

So Mandy and i went to Port Adelaide much earlier this year, probably around early March, so these photos are a little older, but we reckon they came out quite well. Mandy's quite the model. we had a great time. we took around 400+ photos that time, but these were the best ones on our opinion.

Even though they were taken a while ago, i thought id still share them with you.

Mandy was the one to edit these ones, so alot of credit goes to her. They turned out great. they were taken with a standard lense sothey turned out quite well considering the lense. Through out the mid year break for Uni, Mandy got a fixed lense from Malaysia for the camera. Now that new lense does amazing things! I will eventually post photos taken from the newer lense. I'll tell you which ones they are but im sure you'll see the difference yourselves.

So this is the last photo from Waterfall Gully. i did edited heavily, but the reason for that was to get a an older look with out using sepia as such. i still wanted the green leaves to stand out with their own colour.

not my best editing as you can tell, but i like it because it does bring out something different.

my day was good. spent the day with my girlfriend. we hadnt been to Waterfall Gully and thought we'd go and check it out.
